At the Explorers Adventure School, our schedule and curriculum allows children to learn and grow while doing what they do best, moving and exploring the world around them.  We have placed an emphasis on an active play-based style of learning in our classrooms by designing a preschool curriculum that integrates physical play with academic learning.

We’re About The Little People…

Our teachers are nurturing and enthusiastic, so that your child feels like their Explorers school is a second home and is inspired every day.  Our teachers are dedicated and passionate about creating environments which support a love for learning and building secure relationships.
We recognize each child has their own unique learning style and interests, so low ratios allow our teachers to get to know each child and incorporate activities into the curriculum that draw each child into the learning environment!  Our program allows for enough choice in activities and lots of movement to keep their young minds and bodies eager to learn.
We are committed to ensuring that the children, families, and teachers act as collaborators.  It is through a strong parenting team that children really prosper.  Parents are encouraged to sign-up for reading to our classroom, attend our class events, or discuss what we’re learning at home through our learning guides.
Children visit three classrooms each day, themed for different pathways of learning at an advanced level.  Our “Art & Science Lab” gets really messy, as we take part in fun experiments, art activities, and lots of hands on play with different materials!  The “centers” room has an emphasis on literacy, math, and pre-engineering.  Third, our “imagination station”, develops social skills, and even works in the curriculum concepts while allowing for plenty of free play!
Leave your worries behind and feel secure so that you can continue your day with our Preschool2Me iOS or Android App!  Features include picture updates and archive, secure drop-off and pick-up with unique parent/guardian codes, emergency alerts, and activity reports.
If you have children of preschool and elementary school age, pick them all up in the same spot and don’t to worry about the stress of multiple pick up locations or the traffic of school pick up lines!

Meet Our Teachers

Zachary grew up and was raised in the Austin area and after spending time in Brenham (Blinn College) and San Marcos (Texas State University) he couldn’t wait to come back home. Zach has worked in the childcare field for 6 years, is a Licensed Child Care Director/Camp Director and is now happy to be the Explorers Adventure School Director as well as the Director of Camps at Events at ChampionsTX. In his free time, Zachary enjoys spending time with friends and family and playing sports. He was a 4 year varsity letter in both tennis and theatre and enjoys playing sports and volunteering with the Rouse High School theatre dept. He loves working here because of the impact he is able to have on families and the community and the feeling of excitement when a child discovers something for the first time. He has a passion for helping people reach their potential and works hard to achieve that with every person (student or teacher) that comes through Explorers Adventure School.
Brittany loves getting to work as the Explorers Adventure School Pre-K Teacher. She moved to Austin about 3 years ago from South Texas, and is loving it here. Brittany is very passionate about working with children. Coming from a family where she was the oldest of 4 siblings, she has always looked out and cared for her younger siblings. Brittany has 3 years of child care experience. Brittany and her husband do not have any kids of their own, but they have a dog named Axel and she treats all the children in her class like they were her own. In her spare time, you can catch her spending time with family and friends, playing with or walking Axel, enjoying the pool, or doing DIY projects. Brittany loves seeing children build friendships with each other and playing a role in developing their creativity, helping them learn new things, and simply enjoying their play.
Brandon grew up in the Austin area and currently attends Texas State University where he is finishing up his bachelor’s degree. He has worked with children for 5 years and is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of his students. Brandon was involved in sports from an early age and went on to letter all 4 years in wrestling where he was a state qualifier ranked in the top 12 wrestlers in the state of Texas. Because of his active upbringing, Brandon enjoys incorporating activities into his curriculum that get kids moving and engaged and is happy to work in a school that strives to promote an active healthy lifestyle. In his short amount of freetime, you can find Brandon studying, spending time with friends and family, or outdoors playing sports and enjoying the hot Texas weather.
Melissa’s love of learning and teaching has led her to work with children for the last 10 years through volunteer work, peer mentoring programs, and teaching at the elementary school level. She loves being in the classroom and helping her students learn in a caring and nurturing environment where they are able to feel safe and at home. Melissa started with Explorers Adventure School as a parent to her two sons who were enrolled in the school and grew to love the program so much because of the programs ability to educate through multiple mediums that she decided to work here! Health and wellness plays a very important role in her family’s life and she believes young children are especially receptive to instruction that challenges them both physically and intellectually. It is her goal to help every student recognize their individual strengths and use them to become lifelong learners, as well as build their thirst for knowledge.
Ashley is so excited to be working at Explorers Adventure School. For Ashley, working with the students at Explorers is more than just a job for her. She has a passion for working with children and finds that she is happiest when she is helping children. That happiness starts at home where Ashley enjoys spending her free time with her daughter, Mia, who also loves getting to spend time at Explorers with her mom when she isn’t in school. Ashley works hard to make sure that the individual needs of all of her children are met and though working with 2 year olds during the day and then school aged kids in the afternoons is challenging, she finds it to be extremely rewarding.
Alison Scott Callaway is a native Austinite (6th generation!) and lives in Bee Cave with her husband and daughter, Caroline. Alison’s mother, Janet Scott, started Champions in 1994 and Alison grew up in the gym. She was fortunate to have a very full upbringing, participating in many gymnastics classes and gymnastics show teams, but is most grateful that her mother believed in a well-rounded childhood and also enrolled her in volleyball, kickball, Girl Scouts / Brownies, and put a lot of emphasis on church, family, and building friendships. The mission of creating “All Around Champions” was instilled in her at an early age and she believes in it whole hardheartedly. She began working at Champions full time in 2009, became a director in 2011, and started the location in Lake Travis in 2014. She is Texas Child Care Director Certified, attends the Child Care Education Institute.

Oh!  The Places You’ll Go!

We tried five other schools before finding our home at Explorers Adventure School and we couldn’t be happier.  My child LOVES going to school now!!”

“Amazing! The school is brand-new, very clean, very well organized. This staff are some of the sweetest people. They’re extremely knowledgeable, and caring. I couldn’t be asking for anything more in my son’s first school experience!”
